AFTER SCHOOL LIBRARY SERVICES & HOMEWORK SUCCESS PROGRAM:
The LIBRARY will be CLOSED Tuesday afternoon (9/7) due to a Faculty Meeting.
We will be open Wednesday for our usual hours – 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m..
Please note that this will happen the first Tuesday of every month.

HOMEWORK SUCCESS PROGRAM:
- BEGAN THURSDAY – 8/26/2010! It is open to every one of you and is voluntary on your part.
You are invited to come to the FHUHS Library between the hours of 3 and 5:30 p.m. any day of the week to use our Library space and resources to get your homework assignments done on time.
- Mrs. Burlette, school Librarian, will be there to assist you.
Please know that this is NOT a club that we are asking you to join.
You are not committed to come every day - or to stay the whole block of time.
It is one of our Library services that offers you a great opportunity to succeed academically.
Get your homework completed right after school, begin those long term assignments early, and stay current with your homework.

BALFOUR:
- The Balfour representative will be here on Thursday- 9/23/10 – during lunch – for ring orders for sophomores, or any upper classmen who haven’t ordered one yet.
- A $50 deposit is required.
CHORUS:
ATTENTION MUSIC STUDENTS:
- NATIONAL ANTHEM Preparation for Athletic Activities will be held on Thursday – 9/2 @ 8 a.m.. It is open to all grades.
DRAMA CORNER:
- There will be a meeting for all current and interested members of the Break-a-Leg Society Drama Club on Thursday – September 2 from 3:30 – 4:00 p.m. in the Band Room – to introduce the 2010-2011 season.

INTRODUCTION TO COLLEGE STUDIES CLASSES: Through CCV beginning on Monday – 9/13.
This FREE, non credit course helps students develop skills and strategies for college success.
They will learn about:
Note & test taking / Study & communication skills / Time and stress management / Goal setting & organizational skills / Financial aid … and more!
If students successfully complete the Introduction to College Studies course, they may be eligible for a voucher to take one free course at Castleton State College, Community College of Vermont, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Vermont Technical College, or other partner colleges.
