APRIL AFTER-SCHOOL DRIVER EDUCATION NEWS:

  • DEADLINE for April After-School Driver Ed. is WEDNESDAY – March 31.
    Applications are in Guidance.

CLUB NEWS:

  • COMMUNITY SERVICE CLUB: Meetings will be held on WEDNESDAY @ 3 p.m. in Ms. Carini’s Room (24).
  • PEER MEDIATION: Will meet every MONDAY from 3 – 3:15 p.m. in Mrs. Sheldon’s Room.
  • SCHOLARS BOWL: Scholars Bowl students are to be dismissed @ 12:10 on Friday – 3/12. They will be leaving at 12:30 p.m. for a NAQT Tournament at Spaulding High School in Barre. Best of Luck Teams!

DAFFODIL TIME AGAIN!

  • It’s daffodil time again! Sign up sheet will be in the Main Office. The cost is $10 per bunch. Orders must be placed by Monday – 3/22. Delivery will be 3/25. Thanks for your support.

  • Football Water Polo TEAM BUILDING Activity to be held on SUNDAY - March 14 at Castleton State College from 3 - 6 p.m..

GREEN MOUNTAIN DISTRICT MUSIC FESTIVAL:

  • TODAY - 3/12 - at Green Mountain College - Poultney, VT.

Evening Concert - 7 p.m.. Admission Tickets are required for entrance, and will only be sold at the door.
PRICES: Adults $5 / Students & Senior Citizens (55+) $3 / Family (4 or more) $15

ATTENTION JUNIOR BOYS: Applications for the Annual Green Mountain Boys’ State, sponsored by the American Legion are available in the Guidance Office w/Mrs. Anderson. For more info regarding Boys’ State – you can stop by and see Mr. Ruby.

** ATTENTION SENIORS: The LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS are now available in the Guidance Office.
Many of the scholarships have deadlines of April 1, so please stop by today.

GOVERNOR’S INSTITUTES OF VERMONT: Monday – March 15 is the DEADLINE for students to apply for the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont.
Applications must be turned in to Mrs. Anderson in Guidance prior to the end of the day of the 15th.

If you choose to send your scholarship application, please be sure it is postmarked prior to the April 1 deadline.

All applications can be found at *giv.org site (click on “contact us” and then the “school contacts”).
If you have any questions or need additional info – please see Mrs. Stewart in Guidance.

SPORTS / ACTIVITIES CORNER:

SPRING SPORTS SEASON will BEGIN after school for all teams on MONDAY – March 15th.

All student-athletes will need to turn in a PERMISSION FORM for the sport they wish to participate in, and a CURRENT sports Physical must be on file with the nurse or AD.

Sports offered in the spring season are: Boys/Girls GOLF, Boys/Girls TRACK & FIELD, Girls TENNIS, Varsity/JV SOFTBALL, and Varsity/JV BASEBALL.

SPRING MUSICAL – OPEN AUDITIONS!

Auditions for the Spring Musical “Dumbstruck: An A Cappella Musical Comedy” (Directed by Matt Couture) will be held in the Band Room @ 4 p.m. on Tuesday – MARCH 16!
Please prepare an A Capella musical piece ready to perform (fancy or simple - you will not be judged based on difficulty)

The Musical is scheduled to be performed on Friday – May 21 / Saturday – May 22 / Sunday – May 23.
